Hi! I’m Sarah, a photographer based in the little town of Mortlake, South West Victoria.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was the kid at every family gathering with a camera in hand, capturing every little moment. When I was 13, I even wrote a two-page essay to convince my mum to buy me my first 'real' camera – and it worked! That moment sparked an obsession that has only grown over the years.

​

Now, at 27, photography is not just a passion; it’s part of who I am. But funny enough, my background isn’t in photography at all! I originally studied Conservation and Land Management, then Agricultural Science, graduating in 2019. I’ve worked in the environmental and agricultural industry ever since and still do today with a local Landcare group. But over time, photography took over more and more of my life, and I love every second of it.

In 2023, a road trip around Australia and a little push from a friend after a life coaching course made me realise that photography wasn’t just a hobby, it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Since then, I’ve thrown myself into everything from branding and product photography to real estate and interiors. More recently, I’ve fallen in love with wedding photography, capturing raw, real, and beautiful moments that tell a story.

Photography is both my job and my hobby - so I might sound a little boring, but I truly love what I do!
 

I’m a lifelong (and very patient) St Kilda supporter - 27 years and still waiting for that grand final win.
 

A constant daydreamer, usually picturing life on a little farm in a cozy cottage.
 

I’m passionate about sustainability and eco-friendly living, which is why I can’t quite step away from my work in Landcare.
 

I’m getting married in April 2025 (so I know exactly what it’s like planning a wedding!).
 

Hopefully, one day I’ll have a family of my own.
